It is with great sadness that we write this letter. After 9 years serving the Moosup CT area and 40+ years serving the Warwick RI area, Distinctive Touch Salon will be closing its doors on Friday – May 26, 2023.

Whenever a business closes there is always much speculation. Colleen and I feel it is important for you to understand the circumstances under which this tough decision was made.

In 2020 Colleen suffered a devastating injury resulting in multiple surgeries leaving Colleen with severely limited range of motion not being able to function as Artistic Director, National Educator, Manager and Stylist.

Over the decade’s DTS has maintained an excellent reputation in both communities with outstanding and reliable service. Our wish is for that reputation to remain, without Colleen’s participation as the hands-on operator, the salon would not be the same. This business was largely a labor of love; something we both looked forward to doing every day. We have met so many wonderful people over the years and we feel incredibly blessed to have had this opportunity to serve our communities. So few people in life get to do something they love and for that, we’re eternally grateful. Thank you to our loyal customers and dedicated team, DTS could not have been as successful as it was without your support and loyalty.

We will miss doing what we loved for so many years.
